จากที่มีประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา เมื่อ 13 ธันวาคม 2562 เรื่อง การกำหนดวิทยาเขต และการจัดตั้งส่วนงานของมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ ซึ่งเป็นการปรับโครงสร้างองค์กรมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ เพื่อรองรับกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดขึ้นในอนาคต เพื่อให้มหาวิทยาลัยสามารถนำพาองค์กรสู่ความเป็นเลิศและเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นแนวหน้าต่อไป จึงได้มีการจัดตั้ง “ศูนย์กิจการนานาชาติและสื่อสารองค์กร (Global Affairs and Corporate Communication Center : GACC)” จัดตั้งขึ้นเพื่อสนองนโยบายดังกล่าวเพื่อเตรียมพร้อมสำหรับการปรับเปลี่ยนในโลกอนาคต และเพื่อยกระดับการสื่อสารองค์กรและความเป็นนานาชาติสู่การเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นแนวหน้า
The Government Gazette on 13 December 2019 published an announcement with the subject: The design of the campus and the establishment of a division of Prince of Songkla University by internal reshuffle to accommodate future changes, to enable the university to lead the organization into excellence and to be a leading university. Accordingly, the “Global Affairs and Corporate Communication Center (GACC)” was established in response to this policy, to prepare the institution for future changes and to enhance corporate communication and internationalization in order to become a leading university.
ศูนย์กิจการนานาชาติและสื่อสารองค์กร กำหนดภารกิจในการยกระดับความเป็นนานาชาติของมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ รวมทั้งภาพลักษณ์ของมหาวิทยาลัย ผ่านการสื่อสารทางสื่อออนไลน์และออฟไลน์ กิจกรรมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ และการสร้างความร่วมมือและการรับรู้ในระดับสากล นอกจากนี้ยังผนึกกำลังเพิ่มความสามารถด้านการสื่อสารด้วยการยกระดับสถานีวิทยุวิทยุกระจายเสียงมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตหาดใหญ่ คลื่น FM 88.0 MHz เพื่อเป็นอีกช่องทางในการสื่อสารจากสู่ชุมชนทั้งภายในและภายนอกมหาวิทยาลัย ภายใต้การควบคุมดูแลของรองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และมีผู้อำนวยการศูนย์กิจการนานาชาติและสื่อสารองค์กร เป็นผู้บริหารจัดการกิจการต่าง ๆ ภายในศูนย์ฯ ให้เป็นไปตามวัตถุประสงค์ที่ได้วางไว้
The Global Affairs and Corporate Communication Center specifies its mission as one to enhance the internationalization of Prince of Songkla University through online and offline media communication, team-building activities and fostering international cooperation and greater recognition. In addition, it joins forces to increase its communication capabilities by upgrading the radio station and radio broadcasting of PSU’s Hat Yai Campus: FM 88.0 MHz as another channel for communication from both inside and outside the university community. GACC is under the supervision of the Vice President for International Relations, and the Director of the Global Affairs and Corporate Communication Center, managing the activities of the center in accordance with the stated objectives.
ศูนย์กิจการนานาชาติและสื่อสารองค์กร เป็นการรวมภาระงานและพันธกิจของหน่วยงานในวิทยาเขตหาดใหญ่ที่มีหน้าที่เผยแพร่ภาพลักษณ์มหาวิทยาลัยสู่ประชาคมตั้งแต่ภายในองค์กรจนถึงการรับรู้ของนานาชาติ บริหารจัดการโดยแบ่งโครงสร้างองค์กรภายในออกเป็น 4 ฝ่ายหลัก คือ
- ฝ่ายกิจการนานาชาติ : มีภารกิจส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์มหาวิทยาลัยสู่นานาชาติ รวมทั้งสร้างความร่วมมือทั้งด้านวิชาการและกิจกรรมทั่วไปกับหน่วยงานและบุคคลในระดับสากล
- ฝ่ายกิจการพิเศษ : มีภารกิจรับผิดชอบเรื่องการประสานงานด้านพิธีการทูต และกิจกรรมพิเศษอื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับนานาชาติ
- ฝ่ายสื่อสารองค์กร : มีภารกิจส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์ของมหาวิทยาลัยผ่านการสื่อสารทุกช่องทาง ทั้งสื่อออนไลน์ สื่อออฟไลน์ และสร้างความสัมพันธ์
- ฝ่ายบริหารและกิจการวิทยุโทรทัศน์ : มีภารกิจรับผิดชอบด้านบริหารสำนักงาน และเผยแพร่ผลงานและข่าวมหาวิทยาลัยผ่านสื่อวิทยุและโทรทัศน์
The Global Affairs and Corporate Communication Center combines the workload and missions of the units responsible for presenting the university’s image to the community both inside the organization and international perception. GACC is managed by dividing the internal organizational structure into two main units:
- International Affairs Office
- Corporate Communications Department, which consists of two main departments, formerly known as the Public Relations Division and the PSU Hat Yai Radio Station
